The Bulgarian Evangelical Alliance General Assembly took place on 9th May 2009 at First Evangelical Church – Sofia. The BEA President, Rev. Nikolay Nedelchev, reported on the BEA activities during the period of May 2007-May 2009.
Bulgarian Free Church and ‘International Needs Network – Bulgaria’ Foundation were accepted as new members.
Rev. Nikolay Nedelchev was re-elected President. Members of the new Board were elected as follows: Rev. Bedros Altunian and Rev. Vladimir Todorov (United Methodist Church), Rev. Danail Ignatov and Rev. Blagovest Nikolov (Union of Evangelical Congregational Churches), Rev. Vasil Vasilev and Rev. Theodor Oprenov (Union of Evangelical Baptist Churches), Rev. Alexandar Todorov and Rev. Stefan Dimitrov (Bulgarian Church of God), Rev. Victor Virchev and Rev. Rumen Bordjiev (Pentecostal Assemblies of Bulgaria), Rev. Ludmil Yatanski (‘Good News’ Bulgarian Evangelical Church), Rev. Dimitar Dimitrov (‘Zion’ Christian Church), Rev. Georgi Mihailov (Christ’s Evangelical Church ‘Shalom’), Rev. Jay Sunberg (Bulgarian Church of the Nazarene) and Rev. Evgenii Naydenov (Bulgarian Free church).
The President shared his vision for the future of the Evangelical Alliance.
The General Assembly closed with a time of prayer for the new leadership.
